12mo. [180 x 107 x 19 mm]. 275pp. Bound in contemporary green goatskin, the covers gilt tooled with a "greek-key" border and lettered at the centre "Benj: Phipps". Smooth spine divided into six panels by gilt fillets and a floral roll, lettered in the second, the others with a trophy tool comprising a snake, a vase and a quiver, and a leafy scroll in the corners, the edges of the boards and turn-ins tooled with a gilt roll, marbled endleaves, gilt edges. (A small red goatskin label has come away from the foot of the spine, but the letters of Baskerville's name are clearly visible, a little rubbed and once rather over-zealously polished).
Birminghamiae: typis Joannis Baskerville, 1774.
