Nerinda originally appeared in Unprofessional Tales (1901). In this revised version Douglas omitted the introductory pages and added an Author's Note at the end. It was dedicated to Nancy Cunard and was Orioli's first publishing venture. It was published in April 1929, at one guinea. This copy was sold by Charles Traylen in 1983 for £50.
