Bound in contemporary mottled calf, smooth spines divided into four panels with stained bands flanked with gilt fillets, lettered in the second and numbered in the third, the others with gilt centres, pallets at the head and foot, the edges of the boards hatched in gilt, plain endleaves, red sprinkled edges. (Corners and headcaps slightly worn).
London: printed at the Apollo Press, by George Cawthorn, No.132, Strand, Bookseller & Printer to Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales, 1802.

Occasional light foxing or browning. A handsome little set. Each volume has the ink signature of Helen P. B. Clark and date 10th October 1899. Helen Priestman Bright Clark (1840-1927) was the daughter of John Bright and Elizabeth Priestman and she married William Stephens Clark in 1866.
